“As a young man, while rafting the Taos Box Canyon, I was struck by it’s ancient formations.  Geology is the common core of all exotic wilderness environments. Take the rock formed by the power of cascading water over the ages, add a bit of electricity and the results can easily be viewed as “magical”.  I endeavored to let that magic do all the talking in this piece.” READ MORE

This print starts with the ceramic made of white porcelain clay and fired in the Japanese tradition of Raku.  John searches images of the ceramic work and finds meaning that is then portrayed in these prints.

These limited-editions are printed with a 12-color giclee printer using archival quality inks and canvas and coated with UV resistant gloss coating to preserve the image. Each print is numbered and individually signed by the artist.

The canvas is then shipped securely rolled in a shipping tube. Your local frame shop can easily stretch the print on a stretcher bar frame. Prints are designed to enable stretching over 1 1/2” gallery wrap canvas stretcher frame and have the image stretch around the edges.

After stretching no further framing is necessary, your print will be ready to display.
